What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

Core Beliefs

Our Belief in God

We believe in one loving, triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who creates, redeems, and sustains us. God's grace flows freely to all and calls us into relationship, transformation, and service.

Scripture as God’s Living Word

We hold the Bible as sacred and inspired, revealing God’s truth and guiding our lives. Scripture is our foundation for faith and practice, interpreted through tradition, reason, and experience.

Grace at the Heart

God’s grace is central to United Methodist belief. We recognize prevenient grace (God’s love before we know it), justifying grace,
(forgiveness and salvation), and sanctifying grace (growing in holiness). All are invited to receive this gift.

Living Our Faith

Faith isn’t confined to Sunday. We live it daily through acts of compassion, justice, and mercy. Inspired by Jesus’ example, we seek to serve others, confront injustice, and care for creation.

The Church as Community

We are a connectional church, united by shared beliefs and mission. Through worship, fellowship, and outreach, we grow in discipleship 0and walk together on the journey of faith.

Salvation Through Christ

We believe salvation is the work of God's grace through Jesus Christ, who lived, died, and rose again to reconcile us to God. By faith, we receive forgiveness, healing, and new life. Salvation is not just a moment—it’s a lifelong journey of growing in love, discipleship, and holiness.

Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors

As United Methodists, we embrace diversity and extend welcome to all. We affirm that everyone is created in God’s image
and offer space for dialogue, healing, and hope.

The Power of Resurrection

We affirm the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, the promise of eternal life, and the hope of a restored creation. Christ’s triumph over death assures us that death does not have the final word—and we look forward to resurrection life through Him.
